Work Furlough
The Work Furlough program is for low-risk, non-violent offenders sentenced to at least 60 days in jail (up to 1 year). The purpose of the program is to be able to continue to work, go to school, support your family, etc., while being required to serve time in jail at night. Essentially, you work or go to school during the day like normal, then sleep at the jail. Due to a recent change in the law as of 1/1/15, you are only required to serve half of your sentence (example: if you receive 180 days in jail as a penalty, and you qualify for Work Furlough, you only serve 90 days in the Work Furlough program).
If you are being investigated for a criminal offense, or have been charged with a criminal offense, and want to know how to best proceed, please contact the attorneys at Jackson Law online or call Jackson Law at 650-587-8556.
